Contra Dancing is FUN and easy to learn!
Folks of all ages and dancing ability can dance contra, even if you've never danced before. Singles are welcome, no partner is needed. It is an energetic but very social dance form, and people are very friendly and happy to welcome new dancers. Every regularly scheduled dance has a beginners lesson at the beginning of the evening. One thing to know is that contra is always danced to live music, and are alcohol-free events.
